The churches were dark inside with the exception of the sparkling Christmas lights and flickering candles which illuminated the nativity scenes.
We saw a couple different sets at the different churches.. but my favorite set was the one at Viva Christo Rey.
The amount of detail of every scene was just so intricate.
The stars even twinkled.
Shepherds and an angel that would appear and then disappear!
And of course the actual nativity scene!
My favorite part was when you looked through the cave and saw Joseph leading Mary and Jesus in their flight into Egypt.
This set had everything. The angel, Gabriel, appearing to Mary and then Mary visiting Elizabeth. The nativity. The angels appearing to the shepherds. The Wise Men. The Flight into Egypt. The presentation of Jesus in the temple. And even the three of them living in their home.
On this Third Day of Christmas, there weren't three french hens.
Just three quiet churches with three beautiful nativity scenes.
It was perfect.
LOVE!!
