The Observer.

I was walking down the row with my eyes fixed ahead of me.

Suddenly I heard an exclamation from two panels down.

"Whoa!"

I immediately whipped my head around to see a friend pointing at something off in the distance. Looking that direction, I saw water spraying from an irrigation system. The cool thing was that the water was literally rainbow colored. You know how you see a rainbow after it has rained? Yeah, well, the sprays of water actually looked like a rainbow. It was so cool.

I looked back at my friend and said, "Thanks. If you hadn't said anything, I probably wouldn't have noticed it."

There are so many simple joys in life. Simple pleasures. Simple beauties. All of which are small little gifts from God. They can be found anywhere and everywhere. We just don't take the time to look for them.

I think we should all take a lesson from my friend in the corn field. We can all take a little more time to be observers and find those precious gems in life. And then once we do? We can share them with others.

Just like The Observer shared a rainbow with me.
