Basically my life has been...
-wake up
-drive to berean
-sleep on the bus on the way to the field
-detassel all morning and all afternoon
-drive home
-shower
-eat dinner
-get stuff ready for the next day
-sleep
AND THEN REPEAT. Every single day. Not gonna lie... it gets really old really fast.
But... there is something that I like about it.
I like getting a vacation from life. Seriously.
Spending an entire day with people you hardly know is the greatest thing ever. The people on the bus quickly become like a small family. You become such a tight knit group. It's kinda neat.
Today, my bus took on a 304 acre field that we practically did all by ourselves. Intense stuff. But.. I got to spend the entire day with the same two friends. Today I picked with Shyanna and Caleb. It was the BEST. It rained a lot when we ate cookies after every round and enjoyed our carmel apple suckers as we walked down our mile long rows. While we were sloshing through the mud and gunk, our conversations varied from serious to absolutely hysterical. We teased each other.... a lot. Along with playing tassel baseball, we had a contest throughout the day to see who had the best aim when throwing a tassel. Being able to laugh as hard as I did today was fantastic.
When I'm spending time with the same group of people every single day in a totally different environment.. I can easily just forget all of the anxieties in my life. I'm not bothered by them at all. It's refreshing. New people. New conversations. New vacation.
Gosh. They're such a good group of kids. I love them.
