"I Think I'll Try Defying Gravity..."

So as I'm sitting at the computer with nothing to do....I hear Defying Gravity from the Broadway show Wicked coming from my sisters' room.

"Too late for second-guessing.
Too late to go back to sleep.
It's time to trust my instinct.
Close my eyes....and leap...
It's time to try defying gravity!
I think i'll try defying gravity!
And you can't pull me down!!"

Geez....wouldn't it be a thrill to defy gravity?? I'm a hopeless dreamer. I admit. I think that defying gravity would be the coolest thing ever. I mean...of course it would be great taking the phrase literally. Haha...who wouldn't like to float around without gravity?!?

I mean....someday...I want to defy gravity. Take chances, take risks, do something totally against what seems normal. Something that people remember as, "Remember when Rachel did this??? It was CRAZY and totally amazing."

I want to fly and soar. Nothing can stand in my way because I am determined.

But wait......"Follow your dreams"...."Dare to dream"...both phrases that sound corny and unreal. I mean "HELLO! Reality check!!!" We all know that you can't just have a dream come true like that *POOF* We all know that never happens except to the people who actually made it in the world. Having a dream come true is just a fantasy. You're lucky if you make it out of high school alive. Right?

*Shrugs* I suppose following a dream is kind of unlikely. Especially to those who are so....realistic and logical. But I just decided that I'm not that kind of person. Like I said....I'm a dreamer. I cross all the boundaries of reality. I'm the kind of person who convinces little kids that fairies and mythical creatures exist. "What Emma? OF COURSE magic exists!!!" I fill my head with dreams that seem so far away. I try and do things that are totally against normal. That's defying gravity.

I want to do something big though...something that defies every definition of "normal"and what exactly will that be? I don't know. "But till I TRY, I'll never know!"

*Skims through what I just wrote* Gosh. I AM a hopeless dreamer with a huge imagination. Hmm...is that strange? Probably. Oh well. At least I'm starting to defy gravity.
