Oh good times this weekend.... :)

This weekend has been great.

Why?

Well, yesterday I went to debate. Yeah, maybe I wasn't expecting debate and yeah maybe I wasn't too thrilled to see my name on the list of people debating and yeah maybe I wanted to go home...but then I told myself that even though this particular situation was driving me nuts, that God was using it for some reason in my life. I thought of the song This is the Stuff by Francesca Battistelli,

This is the stuff that drives me crazy.
This is the stuff that's getting to me lately
In the middle of my little mess, I forget how big I'm blessed.
This is the stuff that gets under my skin,
But I've gotta trust, you know exactly what your doing.
Might not be what I would choose, but this is the stuff you use.

I was like, "Okay Rach, you may not want to debate without your awesome partner but get over it and get in there and give it your all!" It wasn't so bad after that.

After debate, I got to spend good quality time with some friends. Included in these friends were:
1. The pretty redhead
2. My really tall friend
3. A brother and sister who are just too cool
4. My brother's debate partner
5. My friend who apparently has intimidating hair.
6. My rosie posie friend
And as I hung out with them (which included laughing hysterically and dancing like maniacs) I began to realize that these kids are my best friends. No joke. A couple years ago, I would have never imagined myself being so close with all of them. Each one of them has impacted me in their own special and in unique ways. They really are fantastic. I got home, and I thanked God for each one of them individually. God seriously put some of the most amazing people in my life.

Then to top it all off, my mom wasn't upset that we got home a little later than we were supposed to. I love her.

Yep. I'm a pretty lucky girl.

And as I type this, I'm sitting in a comfortable chair listening to Coldplay while doing debate and talking with my brother and his debate partner.

Plans for tonight:

1. Work on debate
2. Work on duo
3. Work on humorous
4. Do math test.
5. Laugh a lot.
6. Eat ice cream

*Phew* that is quite a list. Can I manage this!?!?

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

Hmmm...I think so. :)
